Coisa de Zé

Formed in 2009 by musicians from São Paulo, the band Coisa de Zé has been disseminating and reviving forró in a contemporary way. Embodying Brazilian rhythms such as xote, xaxado, baião, forró, maracatu, and arrasta-pé, they further enrich their music with a bold mix that unites other musical genres, including samba, salsa, hip hop, jazz, and rock, all without losing their essentially Northeastern roots.

Key milestones include their 2009 national debut, their 2012 CD release "É DISSO QUE EU TO FALANDO," a championship win in Itaúnas in 2014, and subsequent albums "VEM CURTIR COM A GENTE" (2015) and "Vivendo de amor e de Forró" (2019). They have toured Europe three times (2016, 2018, 2023) and continue to perform widely at events, festivals, and venues.
